He also worked on ads for Mazda, Gillette, Tourism Victoria, Kmart, Coles and Portmans.

Mr Wadelton is selling the house he bought with his wife, a former fashion designer, for $450,000 in 1998 according to CoreLogic.

The previous owner was 1950s model Marcia Vagner, whose daughter Danielle became the co-founder of popular clothing label Kookai with her ex-husband Rob Cromb.

The family, who now live in Toorak, continue to run the $100 million fashion business.

The 1940s house was also owned by model Marcia Vagner, whose daughter co-founded Kookai.

The house has a $2.25-$2.475 million price guide.

Danielle made headlines earlier this year, after she was convicted and fined for drink-driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop in South Yarra.

Marshall White Stonnington agent Dean Gilbert said the versatile 1940s house had been cleverly designed.

“It can be a home, or a home with an investment property because of the self-contained apartment at the rear,” Mr Gilbert said.

“There’s a French school nearby and parents always want to rent out the unit, so it’s had about a 90 per cent occupancy rate.”

The Wadeltons added the self-contained apartment to the property, which they have rented out through AirBnB, he said.

It includes a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, study and a private courtyard.

There’s a self-contained apartment at the property.

A light-filled sitting area could make a great study.

Features of the main house include vaulted ceilings, a huge dining room, a light-filled sitting room that could be used as a home office, and a landscape garden surrounding the pool outdoors.

The property is scheduled to go under the hammer on August 24.
