Jules Lund: TV and radio personality sells Elwood house

Two screen stars have wrapped up sales for their Melbourne homes.

TV and radio personality Jules Lund found a buyer for his Elwood family pad-turned-investment property four days after it passed in at auction at $2.6 million, after attracting one bidder.

Marshall White Port Phillip partner James McCormack said the four-bedroom house at 40 Milton St achieved an undisclosed price within its $2.65-$2.85 million quoted range.

The buyer planned to renovate the 1920s abode down the track and “make it a family home”, he said.

They were drawn to the 711sq m property’s “land and position”, which were “absolutely as good as it gets for the area”.

Lund and his wife Anna paid $1.53 million for the property in 2009, CoreLogic records show.

The property sold for an undisclosed price days after passing in at auction.

The property was lived in by the Lunds and turned into an investment property.

The former Getaway presenter and Fox FM breakfast host previously told Property Insiders they snapped up the pad after starting to “expand as a family”.

“We took the audacious step of buying this as a family home with plans of doing it up,” Lund said.

“But in the end, we lived there for just over a year and saw another property closer to the kids’ primary school, so we rented this one out to other happy families.”

The period home was renovated recently.

The house was bought by a family.

The Lunds have since lived with daughters Billie and Indigo in a Brighton house they renovated.

In Kew, the childhood home of up-and-coming screen star Lucy-Rose Leonard sold at auction for $2,683,500.

Three bidders pushed the pretty cottage at 120 Wellington St above the $2.4-$2.6 million price guide.

120 Wellington St, Kew was Lucy-Rose Leonard’s childhood home.

The actor has appeared in TV shows and film The Naked Wanderer.

Marshall White Boroondara agent Nicholas Franzmann said a builder from Balwyn bought the five-bedroom property and planned to renovate in the long-term.

Leonard has appeared in popular shows including Neighbours and Winners & Losers. She also starred with British actor John Cleese in Australian film The Naked Wanderer, which was released in August.

The house was sold by the TV and movie talent’s mother, Leonie Hurry, who has also worked in theatre.
